Piedmont Arts Arts Festival - Vendor Sign Up
The Piedmont Art's Artists Festival is an opportunity for the makers of Martinsville, Henry County, Patrick County, and surrounding areas to come together and celebrate each other's processes, projects, and creations! This is a community event that seeks to highlight the amazing artists of the area and celebrate the astounding amount of creativity that exists in our region. Bring your work to show off or sell, enjoy snacks and lunch from local food trucks, and enjoy live music from local artists.

Application Fee: Free
Booth Fee: $25 for Lynwood Artists, $40 for all other artists
Table and Chair Rental Fee: $15 (limited number available) 
Applications Open: Saturday, May 20th, 10 AM

Invitations to Participating Artists Sent: Tuesday, August 1st by end of day
Artist Information Session (Optional): Wednesday, September 27th at 5:30 PM at Piedmont Arts
Check in and Load In: Saturday, October 14th, 8 AM-11 AM
Event Date: Saturday, October 14th, 11 AM-4 PM
Event Load Out: Saturday, October 14th, 4 PM-5 PM

Rules: 
1. This show is open to all artists/craft persons who exhibit work of their own concept, design, and execution. It is acceptable to sell images of your original art work that has been reproduced by a third party. 
2. Only original artwork, crafts and reproductions of your work may be displayed or offered for sale. Vendors are not allowed to sell or distribute anything that was not approved by Piedmont Arts based on the application submitted. 
3.  Artists will be notified via email of their acceptance and all future correspondence.
4.  The show will happen rain or shine.  In the event of rain, the event will move indoors to Piedmont Arts.
5. Exhibitors agree to remain set up for the entire duration of the festival. This include you or a representative being there to run your booth, as Piedmont Arts is unable to provide assistance for the individual running of booths. 
6. Exhibitors are responsible for setting up their booths and also for cleaning up their exhibitor space at the end of each day. Please leave the area around your booth space clear of all trash. Failing to do so could result in a fine.
7.  When possible, exhibitors are encouraged to demonstrate their art or craft.
8.  Tents, weights, tie downs, displays, fixtures, extension cords and any other items necessary for the booth and display are to be provided by the exhibitor. Piedmont Arts does rent a limited amount of tables and chairs for an additional fee; but you will be responsible for the set up and break down of these items. 
9. There are no fees for applications. If your application is accepted, the fee listed above needs to be paid for participation in the festival. Cash or check will be accepted at Piedmont Arts in days prior to the event or at load-in the morning of the event. 
10. Artists retain all proceeds from their sales and no commission is asked from the artist. 
11. Applications will be screened by the staff of Piedmont Arts in order to ensure that the work represented spans multiple genres and styles, are uniquely created, and one-of-a-kind.
12. Piedmont Arts cannot guarantee access to electricity. The Art Garden does not have Wi-Fi, so please plan accordingly in regards to apps or software used to sell items.  
13. If accepted into the Artists Festival, you will be held to rules and regulations regarding taxes as designated by the Commissioner of Revenue. This information will be sent with your official invitation. 

Mediums Accepted: 
Artisan Crafter: Gourmet foods, bakeries, bottled beverages (nonalcoholic), bath/body, health/wellness, flowers and garden, candles, soaps, aromatics, children's clothing and toys, pet items.  Please note: all edible items for sale must be prepackaged for consumption.
Ceramics, decorative: All original clay and porcelain work other than jewelry is accepted in this category.
Ceramics, functional: All original clay and porcelain work other than jewelry is accepted in this category.
Drawing/Pastels: Works created using dry media including chalk, charcoal, pastels, pencil, wax crayon, etc. or from the fluid medium of inks and washes applied by pen or brush are to be entered in this category.
Fiber, Wearable: All work crafted from fibers including basketry, embroidery, weaving, leather work, tapestry, and paper making.  Manufactured clothing with unique applied art will be considered.
Fiber, Woven/Non-Woven: All work crafted from fibers including basketry, embroidery, weaving, leather work, tapestry, and paper making.
Glass: Only hand-crafted glass work will be accepted.
Graphics/printmaking: Original works made with pen, pencil, charcoal or traditional printmaking. Prints hand pulled by artists from traditional methods, including etching, engraving, silkscreen, stone and plate lithography, linoleum block or woodcut, produced in signed and numbered limited editions from an original image created by the artist.
Jewelry: All jewelry whether the work is produced from metal, glass, clay, fiber, paper, plastic, or other materials must be entered in this category. 
Metalwork: Includes all non-sculptural, non-jewelry works crafted from metals.
Mixed media: This category includes works, both 2 and 3 dimensional that incorporate more than one type of physical material to produce. Includes non-sculptural work as determined by the artist.
Painting, oil or acrylic: Works created in oils and acrylics are in this category. Creation of a still life, portrait, landscape, abstract or other image on a flat surface, such as canvas, with oil and/or acrylic paint or sticks.
Painting, watercolor: Works created in watercolor are in this category. Creation of a still life, portrait, landscape, abstract or other image on a flat surface with watercolors.
Photography: Photographic prints made from the artist's original image, which have been processed by that artist, or under his/her direct supervision, are included in this category.
Sculpture: Three-dimensional original work done in any medium.
Wood: Original works in wood that are hand-tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved are accepted in the wood category
