Open Positions:

1. Translators
  • Responsible for translating novels from the source language into fluent, engaging English while preserving the original tone and intent.
  • Work with editors to ensure accuracy and flow.
2. Co-Translators
  • Collaborate with lead translators to split tasks and manage larger projects efficiently.
  • Assist in maintaining consistency in style and terminology.
3. Editors/Proofreaders (Refer to the discord server channel #recruitment)
  • Review translations for grammar, syntax, and readability.
  • Ensure the text is polished and error-free, ready for publishing.
4. Translation Checkers (Refer to the discord server channel #recruitment)
  • Verify translations against the original text for accuracy.
  • Identify any discrepancies or omissions and work with the team to resolve them.

Qualifications:
  • Have a strong command of English: Exceptional writing and editing skills are a must.
  • Are fluent in the source language: Proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean (or other applicable languages) is highly preferred.
  • Are detail-oriented: You’re meticulous and committed to producing high-quality work.
  • Love storytelling: A passion for novels, especially BL, GL, and fantasy themes, is a big plus.
  • Can meet deadlines: You’re reliable and can manage your time effectively.
  • MTL Users are welcome to join as long as it's edited MTL.

Rules to follow before applying

Before applying to Sirens Lair, please carefully review the following rules. By submitting your application, you agree to abide by these guidelines to ensure a smooth and professional collaboration:

  1. Register and Stay Connected

    • Register on our platform using the email you provided in your application.
    • Join our Discord server.

  2. Commit to a Regular Schedule

    • Consistency is key! Update at least once a week.

  3. Quality

    • Translations must reflect the original text’s nuances and tone.
    • Do not submit raw text copy-pasted into Google Translate. While we welcome MTL (Machine Translation) translators, atleast refine or edit the text.

Translation test for Translators and Co-translators: This is to ensure the quality of the translations. If you are an MTL-er, make sure the translation isn't copy-pasted.
