Fiqhology: Figuring Out Islamic Law is a monthly workshop series led by Dr. Sheikh Faiyaz Jaffer. Together, we will dive deep into special topics in Ja'fari fiqh and learn to transform our daily decisions into divinely-guided lifestyles.

SESSION 8: SOURCES OF ISLAMIC LAW, PART 2

Join us this upcoming Wednesday at 6 pm for a continuation on our discussion regarding the principles and foundations of law in Shia Muslim jurisprudence. Dr. Sheikh Faiyaz will delve into primary sources of legal interpretation in the Shia tradition, namely the Qur'an, Hadith literature, consensus [ijma'] and reason ['aql]. 

Whether you are a student of Islamic studies, or simply curious about the intersections of religion and law, this event is sure to offer valuable insights and perspectives. All are welcome!

*NOTE: This workshop is in-person only and will not be livestreamed. It is open to everyone. However, non-NYU community members must submit our Building Access Form prior to arriving. If the form is not submitted, you will not be able to enter the IC building.
