Dear Parents,
We are pleased to offer your child the opportunity to participate in the SAINTS Before & After School Club for the 2019-2020 school year. We offer the club as a service to our parents and provide the care at St. Mary’s School at reasonable rates. Please read through the information to determine if you are able to commit to enrolling your children in the club.
The SAINTS Before School Club is open Monday through Friday, from 7:30-8:30 am. (Exceptions include school holidays and professional days.)
The SAINTS After School Club is open Monday through Friday, from the end of school until 6:00 pm. (Exceptions include school holidays and professional days.)
The club is an academic intervention designed to offer your child extra support with homework, literacy, math, and incorporates enrichment activities such as nutrition, physical education, and art. As well as structured activities there is plenty of time to have fun and play with friends. The children will have access to computers, equipment, games and books. Students are asked to bring a healthy, nutritious snack provided from home.
Club Location/Drop Off & Pick Up:
The Before School Club is located in the LRC room Monday-Friday. Please drop off your child at the front of the school. Press the “LRC” buzzer at the main door, and pull the door open when you hear the tone. Students can make their way upstairs to the LRC room at the end of the hallway. Our Before School Club staff are: Ms. Serafina Shum (Monday-Wednesday) and Ms. Grgic (Thursday & Friday).
The After School Club will be run in the grade two classroom downstairs by the gym, Monday- Friday. Please press the buzzer beside the gym door for access to the Club room upon arrival. Our staff working in the After School Club are: Ms. Patricia Olesiak; Mrs. Sonia Rafael; Ms. Caroline Umali; Mrs. Sandra Cagliuso, Ms. Eisner, and Ms. Katarina Grgic.
Rates:
Before School Club only $10.00 per day from 7:30-8:30 am After School Club only $15.00 per day from 3:00-6:00 pm
Before & After School Club (same day) $20.00
More than one child: $5 less per day for the second or third child
Payment Policy: Please make cheques payable to St. Mary’s School. We prefer booking to be done on a pre-pay monthly basis. If your payment declines, the school will provide families with seven days grace to make their payment. If after seven days your payment still has not been made then the service will be withdrawn. We can provide a letter for income tax purposes in February. If you schedule changes frequently, we prefer one cheque at the end of the month.
Staff & Safety: SAINTS Before & After School Club’s staff are trained in first aid and epipen administration. Our Staff provide your children with a safe, happy and caring place to be.
Attendance Policy:
• Students will only be released to a parent or guardian, or with written parent/guardian instruction.
• Parents/Guardians must notify the school of the need for early release and the students’ departure time must be noted in the “sign out” sheet on the day the child is released early.
• Changing or Cancelling Bookings: You need to provide three days notice to cancel your bookings entirely without charge. Please email
asc@stmary.bc.ca only with your requests.
• Fees are required regardless of a child's possible absence due to illness as your child's space is reserved for him/her.
• Drop-ins may be allowed subject to space availability. Please email
asc@gmail.com in the morning to notify us of the drop-in. We have a drop-in form to be submitted with payment for your convenience.
• Late Collection: Children collected after the closing time will be charged $2.00 per child per minute that you are late.

Kindly, return the cheque to St. Mary's School in an envelope labeled “SAINTS Before & After School Club.” We will process enrollment forms on a first-come-first-served basis.
