Family Law Self-Help Intake Form

The Ventura Superior Court Self-Help Centers provides assistance to self-represented litigants through the Family Law Facilitator’s office and the Self-Help Legal Access Center (“the Centers”). The Centers help parties who have questions about their legal issues, court cases and completing court forms. THE CENTERS CANNOT ASSIST YOU IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY REPRESENTED BY AN ATTORNEY. The Centers are NOT your attorney and do not represent any parent or party. There is NO attorney-client relationship between you and either Center. Any communications between you and the Centers are not confidential. You should consult with a private attorney if you want personalized advice or to be represented in court. The Centers are not responsible for the outcome of your case.

By submitting this intake form, you acknowledge you have read and understood the above statements. We request that litigants only send one (1) e-mail per day. Staff response e-mails are limited to one (1) per day. Each e-mail received will reset our reply time, which is five (5) court days.

SOLICITUD DE ORIENTACIÓN SOBRE PROCESO CIVIL

Los Centros de Orientación del Tribunal Superior de Ventura proporcionan ayuda a las personas sin representación de un abogado por medio de la oficina del asesor jurídico de Derecho de Familia y el Centro de Orientación Jurídico (denominados los “Centros de Orientación”). En estos Centros de Orientación se brinda asesoría a las personas que tengan preguntas sobre sus asuntos legales, casos de tribunal y ayuda en completar forumlarios legales. No se les puede brindar ayuda si tienen un abogado que los(as) represente. Los(as) empleados de los Centros no son sus abogados(as) y no representan a ningún padre de familia ni parte. No existe relación de abogado-cliente entre usted y ninguno de los Centros, por lo que toda comunicación entre usted y estos no es confidencial. En caso de que desee recibir asesoría personalizada o que alguien lo(a) represente en una audiencia ante un juez, debe consultar a un(a) abogado(a) particular. El personal de los Centros de Orientación no es responsable por el resultado de su asunto.
