SUBMISSION DEADLINE: OCTOBER 7, 2022
ELIGIBILITY: Any individual in the first 15 years of their government career.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this Award
is to bring attention to the achievements of early-to-mid career individuals
who complement the tenets of the Western University Local Government
Program, especially as it relates to demonstrating the values of ongoing
learning, professional development, collaboration, innovation and results
orientation. This individual will show tremendous potential to be an
accomplished and recognized leader in their particularly local government
field.
An individual, or organization, may nominate themselves and/or submit more than one application for the Emerging Leader Awards. All nominations submitted will be considered by the awards committee, comprised of public sector practitioners and academics. Nominees may be considered for any other award being considered by the awards committee.
AWARD PRESENTATION: The presentation of the Local Government Program Alumni Society Emerging Leader Award will be made at the Local Government Program Alumni Society Annual Conference. The awards reception will take place at 7 p.m. on November 9 at the Stoneridge Inn and Conference Centre, London. The Local Government Conference will be held November 10 at the same location.
