Thank you for your interest in HLAB! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the HLAB 2020 Summer School has been postponed, and now HLAB is planning to hold a Winter School in the four regions in the following manner:

1. Tokyo: In-person program without overnight stays. The program will be at HLAB's new Shimokitazawa Residential College. Mentors and participants will meet in person for 4 days for seminars and workshops and return home every night. Global-Side mentors who are able to enter Japan will be preferred for Tokyo.
2. Obuse: Online program. (Due to timezone differences, Global-Side mentors who join online are only expected to attend the seminars that they host, although their attendances in other programs are welcome.)
3. Onagawa: Online program
4. Tokushima: Online program

The online programs have seminars at the following times:
  December 26-29
  Seminar times: 12/27 ①10:00-10:45am ②11:00-11:45am JST
                             12/28 ①10:00-10:45am ②11:00-11:45am JST
                             12/29 ①10:00-10:45am ②11:00-11:45am JST


Note that all regions will commence Winter School for exactly 4 days. If chosen as a mentor, your preference for a region will be respected and observed but we reserve the decision to place you in the region we see fit. Also, due to the restricted financial conditions, no mentors will be given any form of financial aid.

This application will consist of four main sections:

1) Personal and location information
2) Open questions
3) Syllabus

Please provide your answers in English. Your application in no way guarantees your admission to the program. HLAB, now attracting mentors from all over the world, is a competitive program, so please compose your responses comprehensively. You are also only allowed to make ONE submission, so make it count!

As HLAB is a program designed primarily for university students, please note that selection will heavily favor students that are either still in school or students that have recently graduated (within 8 months).
