Abstract: There are many opportunities at the interface of neuro and AI, from fundamental discoveries to applications. The goal of this and future bi-weekly meetings will be to harness these opportunities. Specifically, I will discuss a recent paper that describes a fundamentally new type of AI that is multimodal and learns like humans.
We will also discuss specific projects that interested folks can work on. This includes a hackathon to solve targeted problems in a short period of time, resulting in significant advances. The top three projects will get an award. Undergrads are welcome.
