Data/Image analysis softwares in astronomy
The goal of this survey is to make an inventory of the different tools used in astronomy (for image and catalog visualization/processing) and how they could be improved in order to facilitate astronomy related discoveries. It is an important matter because the science that can be done at a given time is circumscribed by the available resources, which is in astronomy mostly telescopes AND softwares.

There are only 12 required questions and the answers of this survey will be available for the ones who want it. The results will  also be shared to software developers and might influence the way they implement their codes. Thank you!  (Photo credit: Peter Challis, Cfa, Harvard)

Possibility to add plug-ins/codes
Software processing both images and sources' catalogs
A nice(r) user interface
Graphical workflows/pipelines
Text based scripting inside the software
Connection to online sources' data-base (like VIZIER)
Possibility to make public your processing via the software (for reproducibility)
Handle 3D data cubes
Handle time series (4D), and multi band analysis (5D)
Handle real time images (with camera)
1D / 2D profile fitting
High level analysis (deconvolution, modelling, deep learning algorithms, etc)
Multi resolution working for big images
