Each semester, the IT office of Brooklyn College creates Linux accounts for students taking Computer and Information Science courses.

If you were referred to this guide by your instructor, it means that the college created one for you!
In this short guide, you'll learn how to remotely access this account, which you should use to complete your homework assignments (and, of course, to practice your Linux skills!)
It should take you about 5 minutes to complete it!
Since your Linux account already exists, you don't need to install or download anything.
Also, accessing your account is, of course, free of cost!
All you need is a computer of any type/operating system (don't use a phone or tablet to complete the guide.)
This guide consists of two parts:
Part 1: Opening a Command Prompt/Terminal Window
Part 2: Connecting to the Account via the SSH program
The last screen of this guide provides the opportunity to anonymously ask for clarification on the guide or suggest improvements/corrections.
The creator of this guide will do her best to incorporate your suggestions into this guide! Thank you! ❤️
