Thank you for taking the time to join us during our informational session. Our commitment will always be to support Palestinian students no matter where they are. The present ask is unique and specific as it is dedicated to funding a 13 month period for housing and food (a total of $3000 for living expenses/$1500 in January 2024 and $1500 in June 2024) during a mandatory year of internship for medical students from Gaza, Palestine studying at Mansoura University in Egypt. If necessary we will push into the beginning because it's better to have it late than never.

We had initially asked for an additional $1200 to cover the cost of the internship BUT upon completion of our meeting at the beginning of December we received a commitment from a partnering educational 501-3c in Chicago to cover the costs of Cohort A's internship fees and another organization just picked up the costs of Partial past due tuition and internship fees for Cohort B.

Leonard Education Organization (LE.O) will help connect you with the student or students you are sponsoring, provide you with his/her contact information and guide you in getting the funds directly to the student(s) in need. You may wish to consider organizing a group donation for one or more students, and putting some friends together to achieve this task.

Ok, DEEP BREATH, because Cohort A has 40 students, Cohort B which has approximately 63 students ($1200 for internships for each of the two years and $3000 for essential living costs). Cohort A as of January 13th is fully sponsored (except for past due tuition above $3000 for three students)

UPDATE: As of 1/23/24

We have 42 students that need full coverage for educational living expenses @ $3000. We have four students that need $2500 as they were given emergency funds upfront. We have six students that will need the June/July payment sent @ $1500 each. Where can you help?

As of 1/23/24 this project has pulled in and organized over $387,000 (approximately) and we have approximately 140k remaining. HELP US GET TO THE END so I can sleep ;)

As of 3/10/24

We have added one additional student and we are awaiting additional students that hope to come through the Rafah border crossing. The current student is in need of $3000 for living expenses. The next student we are awaiting will need internship fees at $1200 and living expenses of $3400 to set up a new place.
