The 2021 High School Model Bridge Building Competition at Oakland Technical High School is happening in-person this year on Wednesday November 3, 2021. There will be about 40 teams participating. Each is designing and building a classic balsa-wood arch bridge!

We will follow the strict Oakland Unified School District COVID policies. (More details will be provided as we get closer to the event.)

8 Volunteer Engineer/Judges are needed for the event starting at 3 PM (until 5 PM) to assist with checking bridge conformance with specifications in the Oakland Tech Engineering Academy Room. Bridges will be tested from 5 to 7 PM. If possible, please stay from 3 PM through 7 PM to assist with the full event and provide support to the students.
