Commack UFSD Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program Eligibility and Participation Requirements:

Child must be 4 years old on or before December 1, 2020
●
Child must be born between 12/2/2015 and 12/1/2016
●
Must reside within the boundaries of the Commack School District
*Please note that the UPK program will only run during the 2020-2021 school year if New York State supplies the necessary funding*
Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program Details:
●
UPK is a half-day program (2 ½ hours per day, five days per week)
●
AM and PM sessions are held in local area preschools
●
UPK follows the Commack UFSD calendar
●
Students will be placed in appropriate available classes
●
ONE application will be accepted per child
●
TRANSPORTATION IS NOT PROVIDED
●
Students will be selected by lottery system
●
Notification will be made after the lottery is held
●
A numerical waiting list is maintained for those children who are not selected (*In the event of the availability of an appropriate UPK placement, families will be notified in the order in which their number was chosen)
●
Registration will take place after the lottery is complete and families are notified
●
Residency documentation will be required at registration
