Essentials to Note:
  1. Those who exhibit in the Project Space are recommended to create their own poster advertising the show, and may host evening receptions
  2. The Art Resource Manager (ARM) is able to assist in distributing advertisements via Department listservs and social media platforms.
  3. Refreshments are allowed in the space but must be procured at your own expense. No alcohol allowed. Because it is in our gallery space, the Department of Art is "hosting" this event, and you must confirm permissible times for hosting any evening reception in the Project Space, with the ARM. From UB Policy: "When alcohol is provided at a hosted event, it must be served by a provider licensed to serve alcohol. Proof of use of a licensed provider is required at the time of approval; exceptions are not allowed and will not be processed when alcohol is served without a licensed provider." (full policy here).
  4. Those who exhibit in the Project Space are responsible for leaving it in the condition in which it was found. This includes spackling and painting wall damage, and removing any paint or other material that gets stuck on the floors. The supplies will be provided to you. If gallery attendant staff are available to assist you in these processes, the Art Resource Manager will notify you. You are encouraged to let the ARM know which day you plan to deinstall and clean the space in advance, so they can try to coordinate assistance from the gallery attendants.
