The Faraway CIC may be able to provide members with devices on loan to allow easier access to the internet, so that people feeling socially isolated can build and maintain contact with others, e.g. attend online events, access social media and messaging apps to keep in touch with friends and family. We would like to know if people have been struggling with social isolation, what barriers have caused that isolation and if respondents think access to devices such as a tablet with data would help them and if they would be interested in loaning such devices from The Faraway CIC.

This survey is open to autistic adults only.

Important notice: As part of our terms and conditions, membership of The Faraway CIC is a condition of receiving equipment. There are other terms and conditions which will be given to you when we contact you about your needs. Membership is £29 a year.

Data gathered in this survey will only be used for the purposes of determining barriers to social connection and levels of social isolation in the autistic adult population during lockdown due to COVID-19 limitations on movement and visiting, and the need for communication devices. Data will be kept securely and responses destroyed once the study is complete.
