LILAC FALL PD Workshop - November 17, 2021 3:45-5:15 P.M.
Title: Using Bibliotherapy to Help Students Heal in These Unprecedented Times

Bibliotherapy is defined as, "a creative arts therapies modality that involves storytelling or the reading of specific texts with the purpose of healing". In these extraordinary times, students need to feel safe, valued, and at peace in our classrooms before any academic learning can take place.  Join Sarah Cordova, Director of Literacy Matters, as she shares various texts that can be bridges to help calm and center our students while serving as wonderful examples of how to teach effective writing instruction.

This workshop is free for current LILAC members or $10.00 for nonmembers.  You can renew your LILAC membership for 21-22  by visiting the membership page of our website at www.lilac.ws. You can also pay the nonmember fee for this workshop and register/pay for other events at our website. We hope you consider joining  LILAC for the multiple member benefits we offer through this professional organization.
