Intrepid landcare is the youth (18-35) branch of Landcare, aiming to inspire and connect young people. Unlike a normal "Landcare group", intrepid groups don't have a patch of land of our own. Instead we travel around and support other Landcare groups, organisations and landholders. Activities include:
- tree planting
- weeding
- erosion control
- Indigenous land management
- citizen science
As well as volunteering, intrepid events are usually accompanied with an adventurous or social activity like bushwalking, kayaking or camp cooking (it depends on the activity/group!). It's a fantastic way to feel like you are doing something positive for the environment while connecting with others.
Membership is free! We are an unincorporated group, so membership is more so we can keep you safe during events and communicate with you about future opportunities.
