What is a Think Tank?
AMSA's advocacy is entirely policy based and those policies are reviewed and rewritten by students every 3-4 years. AMSA @ UQ runs Think Tanks for every Council and discusses all 7 policies that are to be voted on. You will be part of a team of 3-4 who will focus on one policy. No experience is necessary, if it is your first time we will pair you with experienced reviewers!

This role requires:
- 2  hours of reading and critically analysing the policy (Much less if you are doing a Rapid Review!)
- Attendance at Think Tank 2 (Monday March 30 from 5-7) to present the policy and generate conversation

Given that this review period falls in week 16, we will be offering the choice to complete a rapid review instead of full policy review!

A Rapid Review involves reading through the policy google doc and commenting your thoughts, and if possible attending Think Tank to share your thoughts

A Full Policy Review involves the above as well as presenting the policy at Think Tank with 3 strengths and weaknesses and answers to the discussion questions (Same as Think Tank 1)
