St. John the Baptist Housing Application 2023-2024
The purpose of the St. John the Baptist Parish Housing is to provide a living space for young adults in the parish who desire to grow as disciples and to be formed as leaders for the building up of the Church. The housing will foster the culture that we hope to see in the broader parish.

An ideal candidate for SJB Housing is a Spirit-filled missionary disciple of Jesus Christ who has a desire to help bring renewal in our parish community. We are looking for young adults (ages 22 - 32) who are committed to growing in holiness through daily prayer and interior conversion, and who are seeking growth in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

With the invitation to stay in the parish housing, the Joseph and Mary Houses, the following things will be expected of the residents:

- Attend daily Mass whenever your schedule allows;
- Participate in daily house prayer;
- Commit to a weekly evening of house dinner and formation;
- Give 5 hours of time per week serving in a parish ministry (ministry opportunities include: Faith Formation, Campus Ministry, Alpha, Food Pantry, liturgical ministries, serving in the office, assisting with parish events, other outreach activities, etc.)

Individuals already involved at one of the other parishes in our recently assigned grouping (St. Joseph or Christ the King) may continue serving at those parishes as a part of their 5 hours

Monthly rent is $500 and includes all utilities. Resident move-in will begin July 1, 2023. All residents will be expected to make a one year commitment to the parish household. Please contact us if you have financial concerns.

If you are interested, please submit your application by Friday, March 31, 2023. Contact Sr. Lisa Zelfa at srlisa@ypsicatholic.org or John Recznik at johnr@ypsicatholic.org with any questions.
