We have a number of courses that will be offered this summer, these courses may be taken for remediation or advancement. In order to enroll in summer school, you must be officially enrolled to attend CCHS for 2024-2025 school year.
Students are highly encouraged to be their own advocate in considering their academic options, post high school goals and finding answers to the questions that will affect their future.
Students who take a summer course for advancement in the fall, will be advanced after summer school has been completed and the corresponding grade prerequisite has been met. Summer school course details will be posted on the school website under Academics>Summer School.
As always, if a student desires to take a class other than on our campus, they need Administration Approval for the credits to be accepted and added to the CCHS transcript. If a course is offered through CCHS, we require students to take the class through us. You may find the form for Administration Approval on the CCHS website under Guidance.
*IMPORTANT REMINDER: Only students who have enrolled and paid the enrollment fees for the 2024-2025 school year will be scheduled for summer courses.
COURSE ELIGIBILITYCourse requests for advancement will be processed based on qualifying grades in the prerequisite course.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
If I sign up for a course, am I guaranteed it will be offered? No, summer courses will only be created if the minimum number of students enroll in a course. The minimum number of students required varies by course.
How do I pay for summer school? Payment for summer courses will be billed through FACTS. The entire amount for the course will be billed on the first day of summer school, June 10th. A one semester course (3 weeks) is $450.00, a one-year course (6 weeks) is $900.00.
Do I need a textbook for summer courses? Yes, refer to the course flier for textbook information.
What technology will be required? Students will need a charged computer, have access to Google Classroom, and the Parent/Student Portal.
Will classes be on campus? Yes.
Do classes meet every day? Dependent upon the instructor, courses will typically run Monday through Friday, or Monday through Thursday.
When should I schedule my vacation? Summer school is accelerated, so it is important that students attend class every day. Summer School begins on June 10th and ends on the date published on the course flier.
When do I need to sign up for summer school? The deadline to sign up for summer school is Friday, May 24th.
