There are two types of Editors for each SIGMA paper:
1. Copy editors perform the grammatical and stylistic edits for Sigma. Each copy editor will be responsible for one paper per semester which they will read and edit for clarity, flow, and grammar, and mechanics. Additionally, Copy Editors are responsible to ensure citations and references are done correctly in Turabian style.
2. Content editors will be responsible for making sure the flow, ordering, and design of the paper are appropriate for the given topic. This includes confirming that the right type of statistical and analytical test was used and interpreted correctly. They will also be responsible to ensure the accuracy of over-arching themes and arguments.
 
Papers are generally 30-40 pages in length and should be able to be edited in approximately two weeks. Each editor will be in touch with the author of the paper they are editing and oversee the author's revisions to the paper and report back to the Lead Editor on changes made. Editors should be self-motivated and comfortable editing papers independently. You will work in a team with your co-editor, the author, and an assigned faculty member.
