- Be a high school graduating student who has been accepted to or enrolled as a first-year student in a regionally accredited higher education institution as a full-time matriculated student
- Reside in the Rochester (or immediate surrounding community/county areas)
- Possess a minimum cumulative high school grade point average of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrate willingness to work in the nuclear energy industry
*Note: Special consideration will be given to applicants of Jamaican descent who are planning to major in an engineering discipline, have a demonstrated financial need, and are members of groups historically underrepresented in higher education
To be eligible for the Internship Component of the Rochester Jamaican Organization, Inc. Constellation Ginna Rochester Area Scholarship, the applicant must:
- Be 18 years of age in order to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear site
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Be willing to receive mentoring and coaching
*Note: Applicants do not need to demonstrate that they meet the internship criteria at the time of submitting this scholarship application, but they will need to do so when they are ready to pursue an internship with Constellation Ginna.
