Offer Butterlamps for Way of the Bodhisattva Recitations
The light from a butterlamp symbolizes the wisdom of the Buddhas that dispels the darkness of ignorance. What could be a more perfect offering as we recite Shantideva's elucidating text?

For $30 you can sponsor the offering of 27 butterlamps on our shrine. Of these, 21 lamps will burn for a day and six will burn for a day and a night. Your sponsorship will apply to the program as a whole so that we offer butterlamps week after week. Or you may request to sponsor a certain recitation date and we will make every effort to honor it. You may also dedicate your offering to someone and we will read their name at the beginning of the next recitation or on a requested recitation date. Check out our calendar here to see the entire program schedule.

How many recitation days would you like to sponsor? *

Would you like to sponsor a specific recitation date? If for some reason we cannot offer butterlamps on the day you request, we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule your date. If you don't indicate a date, your sponsorship will support the entire program so that we can offer butterlamps week after week.

Would you like to dedicate your offering to another individual? If yes, please indicate the name below and the date you would like the name read aloud at the start of the recitation. If you do not have a date preference, the name will be read at the next recitation following receipt of this order.
