Dear volunteers,

The pandemic has resulted in a large increase in the number of prescriptions needing to be filled by the NYP Department of Pharmacy. They are looking for individuals with a PharmD degree who can assist in the Pharmacy during the period of increased volume.

We are forming a team to assist the clinical pharmacy. Volunteers with a PharmD degree will primarily be compounding IV’s and verifying orders, but may also be asked to deliver medication. Hours are flexible. NYP will need our help as long as patient volumes remain high, but volunteers do not need to commit for a certain period of time.

We are not able to accept students as on-site volunteers. On-site volunteers should be pharmacists but do not need to hold a PharmD.
These restrictions do not apply to a remotely-working manager.

It is our understanding that the duties required for this project may not be consistent with visa guidelines. Visa holders should always contact ISSO before signing up to volunteer for a project.
