NYC (Brooklyn): Lightship VPS World Tour Application
October 14th-16th we will be in Brooklyn, NY, to build the real-world metaverse with YOU! As you know, we launched the Lightship Visual Positioning System (VPS) in May 2022, giving developers around the world the ability to tie their AR experiences to real-world locations with centimeter-level of accuracy! Now we are journeying to multiple cities to showcase the power of VPS and empower you to build for the real-world metaverse with hands-on support from Niantic! Checkout the NYC (Brooklyn) weekend agenda below:

Friday, October 14th (6p-8p)
  • Optional: Onboarding workshop for developers with Niantic Partner Engineering (4p-6p)
  • Kick Off: Welcome, Real-World Metaverse Talk, and Weekend Overview
  • Happy Hour: Developer + Niantic Mingling and Team Registration

Saturday, October 15th (9a-5p)
  • All day building (with onsite mentors)
  • Optional workshops

Sunday, October 16th (9a-3p)
  • Demo Submissions
  • Select Demo Presentations
  • Judging and Off-site Celebration

If you are accepted as a participant into the NYC Weekend of the Lightship VPS World Tour,  you will receive an acceptance email with more details about the event. As an accepted participant, you will get to spend the weekend with the Niantic team in the Brooklyn Zerospace. You will be expected to bring your own laptop with Unity and Lightship pre-installed.
