If you had $50,000 to spend in our neighborhoods, what would you do?
Last year, City Council voted to initiate a small-scale participatory budgeting (PB) program and allocated $50,000 to each council district.

The first step is to brainstorm ideas and projects that you would like to see done in District 6.  PB projects are typically capital projects that improve infrastructure or city amenities, but they could also be programmatic, like a neighborhood clean-up day.  They need to be relatively small-scale since there is only $50,000 allocated to this program.

In April, we will be going through the ideas we receive and working with resources in the city and other groups to come up with a list of projects that would be feasible within the budget.

In May, we will be publishing the list of proposed projects and asking you to vote on them, and in June, we will allocate funding to the most popular projects.

In general, how do you think District 6 should spend its PB money? *

Some ideas we have received so far . . . murals/public art, playground enhancements, license plate reader cameras, park benches in parks/nature preserves, traffic calming measures, neighborhood signage, off-leash dog park, etc.  Get the idea?
