HUNGER & HOMELESSNESS AWARENESS WEEK 2024 - Coalition Book Club Registration
Thank you for your interest in the Coalition Book Club series! Coalition Book Club is a great way for us to come together as a community and deepen our understanding of LGBTQIA+ homelessness ahead of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Over the course of 6 weeks, we will have 3 meetings discussing how our reading ties into this year's theme: Humanizing LGBTQIA+ Homelessness. Please complete this RSVP form to receive the calendar invites to our meetings. 

Meetings will take place as follows: 

  • Monday, October 21st, 12PM - 1PM CST, Virtual

  • Monday, November 4th, 12PM - 1PM CST, Virtual

  • Monday, November 18th, 12PM - 1PM CST, Hybrid (in person location at the DHC Office in the Cedar Springs area)

Please note that you do not have to attend every meeting to participate. Feel free to share this form with anyone else that you think would enjoy participating in this event series!

This year, we will be reading Making Room written by Carl Siciliano, founder of the Ali Forney Center. Copies of this book are available at the Dallas Public Library or through most major booksellers.

Note that this book contains accounts of LGBTQIA+ youth who have experienced homelessness and may be triggering for some. We encourage everyone to engage with the book at their comfort level.
