SAFMC's Best Fishing Practices Master Volunteer Program
Thank you for signing up for BFP MVP! Each workshop will be 6:00 pm-8:00 pm.

The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council's (SAFMC) Best Fishing Practices campaign is focused on increasing the survivorship within the snapper grouper fishery. Key members of the fishing community are invited to attend to learn and discuss ways to spread valuable information in their community. The workshop will focus on best fishing practices that aid in survival of released fish, specifically snapper grouper species, and getting involved in the Council process, including Citizen Science projects. The workshop is intended to be conversational, so bring your ideas!

Additionally, participants will receive a certificate of completion, informational materials to share in their communities, and a chance to win a descending device provided by our partners at Sea Grant.
