Kauri Whānau at Show Quest
11/5/2021
Kia ora Whānau,
Our Showquest performance at the Town hall is just over a week away. The children are working hard on their performance and it is starting to look pretty sharp.
Tomorrow we will be having a dress rehearsal and on Thursday we will be performing for the school, also in costume. By now all children should be sorted for their costume. We do have a few bits and pieces if your child is still missing something. All costumes need to be at school tomorrow, Wednesday.
On May 17th, performance day, the children will need to be at school at the usual time. The bus takes us to the Town hall in the morning. We stay there right through until the evening. You are to arrange for collection of your child at the end of the night. At this stage we do not know what time we will be finished, as the performance order is drawn on the day. As soon as we know, we will let you know.
Children will need to bring the following:
* Their costume
* Any makeup they would like to apply
* Hair brush / comb. For those with long hair, please bring hair ties and bobby pins.
* Lunch and drink bottle.
* There will be pizza and a sweet slice for dinner. You may like to pack extra food, especially if your child does not eat pizza.
* A small non-electronic game, pack of cards, book, craft work etc - for down time.
* Phones can be taken for parent communication at the end of the night. We will look after these during the day.
* They can also bring a rug or cushion to sit on, as we are not sure how comfortable our allocated area will be.
Tickets for Monday’s show can be purchased at Ticketch.
We have also sent this home as a paper copy. You can either fill in the paper reply slip and return it tomorrow, or the form below and get it done now.
