Hope After Loss is pleased to announce scholarships for health care professionals to attend Resolve Through Sharing (RTS) Bereavement Training: Perinatal Death on February 8 & 9 2021 followed by an optional Coordinator Training day on February 10, 2021. Awardees will receive a special discount code they can use to register for the trainings without having to pay.  

This virtual conference is a comprehensive 2-3 day training known world-wide as the "Gold Standard" in perinatal bereavement education. Attend the Bereavement Training on February 8 & 9th to enhance your knowledge, level of skill, and personal awareness when providing care to families who have lost a pregnancy or infant and the Coordinator Training on February 10th to learn how to share the concepts learned in the first 2 days with your colleagues. Hope After Loss (HAL) is co-hosting the event and will be facilitating a family panel of loss parents from our own Connecticut community.

Our intent is to encourage health care professionals from diverse disciplinary and practice contexts within Connecticut to help us enhance perinatal loss care in the region. Nurses, physicians, physician assistants, genetic counselors, ultrasonographers, psychosocial professionals (chaplains, social workers, child life specialists) and healthcare administrators who regularly work with families experiencing perinatal loss will benefit from this training.

The mission of Hope After Loss is to help those who experience pregnancy or infant loss to find hope. We embrace diversity and inclusion across multiple dimensions, such as race, ethnicity, family structure, gender, and spiritual beliefs. We strongly encourage applicants who will help us expand the perspectives and experiences we bring to our mission, thereby improving our ability to help all families experiencing perinatal loss.

The application deadline is December 31st, 2020. Selections will be made by the HAL Board of Directors and awardees will be notified by January 8th, 2021.
