As a hub leader, you will play a vital role in the lives of a group of young people from a disadvantaged community by:
- Showing up - never underestimate the value of simply showing up in a young person's life week after week – young people need consistent, caring adults around them as they grow.
- Listening - be interested in young people's lives and let them share what's happening
- Encouraging – bring energy and enthusiasm into the room and encourage young people to take part in Dreamscheme activities
The role:
- Commit to supporting one Dreamscheme Hub for one year
- Be ready to show up on time and be a consistent presence in their lives during the programme
- Be ready to build rapport, listen well and ask good questions
- Give young people encouragement as they participate
