RSVP to Sustainability in Healthcare: A Student and Research Response

The healthcare sector emits 8.5% of US greenhouse gas emissions while also being responsible for addressing the health impacts of these emissions.  Join Chisara Ehiemere from NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business and Roshan Poudel and Charlotte Sheridan from the Environmental Medicine Interest and Advocacy Group to explore the bi-directional relationship between healthcare and the environment.  We will share how we are making the business case for healthcare decarbonization using the ROSI™ methodology, evidence demonstrating how environmental improvements benefit public health, and what medical students are doing to address these environmental challenges.

Date: Monday, April 17th

Time: 3pm – 4pm

Location: Kaufman Management Center M5-80

Speakers: Chisara Ehiemere, Charlotte Sheridan, Roshan Poudel
