Mechanical Licensing Collective Webinar
On November 9, the Recording Academy is hosting a webinar with Kris Ahrend, CEO of the Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC). As established by the Music Modernization Act, in January 2021 the MLC will begin administering a new blanket mechanical license for streaming and download services. The MLC will then collect royalties from the services and pay songwriters, composers, lyricists, and music publishers.

As a member of the Recording Academy, we want to provide you with the opportunity to ask your questions about the MLC and about how songwriters can ensure they get paid. Submit your question for the panel below and the answer may be shared during the webinar.
