UMS HSC Online Volunteer Form 2020-21
There are many ways to get involved at Union Middle School and we would LOVE for you to be a part of it!! We are looking for volunteers who can work remotely to help us plan virtual activities and events to support our students and staff. Please check the boxes of volunteer opportunities that interest you and you will be contacted by the Committee Chair when assistance is needed. Home and School Club Board - All board positions have been filled for the 2020-2021 school year. Please indicate if you would be interested in holding a position on the board in 2021-2022.
Hospitality - Help honor teachers and staff by purchasing sodas and snacks and/or coming up with creative ways to show our appreciation for all of their hard work.
M-Power - We need a few volunteers per grade level to join our planning committee to organize and/or to pre-record 5-10 minute video lessons with discussion questions that will be placed online to be presented to students during the morning advisory meeting. This program helps support the social/emotional milestones of middle schoolers.  Lessons are well organized with talking points and activities to choose from. Training and support are provided. Topics may include: self-respect, online safety, coping with stress, emotional management, and peer pressure. This can be done remotely.
Music Boosters - Music Boosters is an active and fun group of parents/guardians who support and promote music education (Band, Percussion, and Choir), provide financial assistance for musical events, and help purchase and maintain music instruments, gear, and uniforms. The Music program depends upon Music Boosters volunteers to be successful even in this trying time; there will still be ways to help to protect and promote our children's music education. You can volunteer as little or as much as you like. All are welcome to the monthly Zoom Music Boosters meeting.
Sports Boosters - A group of parent volunteers who plan and lead fundraisers that provide crucial funding for the after school athletics program. Money raised helps to fund coach stipends, referee fees, uniforms and equipment.
HSC Fundraising - *NEW* Help organize online fundraisers to support UMS. Raise funds for our school to support classrooms and programs. Looking for creative minds and organizers!
HSC Community Building - *NEW* Help create and organize online events designed to bring our school community together and spread the Tiger Pride! We need your creativity and enthusiasm!
