NETA 2019 - Evening of Bilingual Readings Sign-up Form
Once again, the NETA Conference Committee is organizing an Evening of Bilingual Readings event for the Friday evening before the annual conference.

Date: Friday, May 3
Time: 6:00pm
Location: Hotel Lounge
Double Tree Club by Hilton, Boston Bayside
240 Mt. Vernon Street (on UMass Boston campus)
                  MAP/DIRECTIONS: https://goo.gl/4vPQ4P

This will be NETA's 2nd pre-conference Evening of Bilingual Readings. This event is inspired by the Bilingual Reading Series that ALTA organizes as part of its annual conference, but ours will be less formal.

The Bilingual Reading is intended to serve as a pre-conference event where literary translators can share their works and get to know other conference attendees in an informal setting. There is no additional registration fee to participate in this event.

- The reading should consist of a work you translated.
- The reading is bilingual and will need two people to participate. One of the reading languages must be English. Please let us know in the form below if you do not have a partner to read with you. We can try to pair you with someone or pick someone from the audience at the event.
- The translation for the reading can be of any genre.
- There is a limit of 10 minutes per reading. (Notes: 1. Time limit depends on the number of readers; 2. You and your reading partner can divide the 10 minutes however you would like between the two languages.)
- You may only sign up once to read a work that you translated, but you may participate as the reading partner for another translator more than once.
- If you do not translate literature but have an interest in literary translation then you may still be able to participate. Please contact Joseph Brockway for more information: jbrockway@springfield.edu (email) or @JosephEBrockway (Twitter).
