Dear Parents or Guardians,

Please log onto PowerSchool and complete the questionnaire about students returning next year and updating any information.  This will be the registration process for returning students until next August when busing, free or reduced lunch forms, and a few loose ends will need to be completed and confirmed.  I typically like to start getting class lists ready for the following school year at this time as well.  If you have logged into PowerSchool great; if not I would greatly appreciate it if you would log on and complete the task so that I can start building classes for next year.  

If you are interested in giving any input for your child’s teacher for the upcoming (2021-2022) school year, please complete the below form.  Completing the form does not confirm your child will be placed in that teacher’s class as there are many things to look at when placing students in a class.  Please complete the form with as much information as you can.  Parent Input Forms will be accepted through the last day of school; Wednesday, May 26th.  In order for students to be placed in a class the PowerSchool questionnaire and update need to be completed first.

North Elementary recognizes a number of factors that can impact student achievement.  Some of those factors are:
• Academic strengths and weaknesses of individual students
• Teaching techniques and classroom management styles of individual teachers
• Recommendations from previous teachers to separate or group certain students
• Balancing classrooms academically and socially
• Providing maximum opportunities for teaching and learning for all students

Mrs. Straw carefully considers all of these factors before making classroom assignments.  If you have specific information giving insight into an environment that will allow your child to perform at his/her best with a certain style of teacher or classroom, please complete this form.  We cannot promise that your child will be placed in the class of your first preference as there are many factors that go into making up classes. Please complete the whole form so that all factors can be considered.  This form will not be placed in your child’s permanent records.  The information you provide will be for confidential office use by the school administrator.  Whatever the final decision regarding your child’s classroom assignment might be, we appreciate your understanding and support of our efforts to provide the best education possible for all students at North Elementary.

Please remember that the district questionnaire and information update needs to be completed before this Parent Input Form will be considered.
