Joining a GSO Committee is a great way to get involved. These committees carry out important work, including researching or investigating issues that affect graduate students or working on ways to improve graduate student experience at SU. It is also an excellent opportunity to meet and work with colleagues, faculty, administrators, as well as a great addition to your CV/Resume!

The Finance and Grant Committees require significant work at busy times during the year. For example, every month, the Grant Committee evaluates Travel Grant applications and the Finance Committee evaluates Special Programming applications from Registered Student Organizations.

While we will try to get you into your committee of first choice, please keep in mind that it works out better for everyone to keep committee memberships at an appropriate level; too many or few members and a committee may not be able to operate efficiently.
