2021 ISONG World Congress - "Promoting Diversity, Inclusion, and Health Equity in Genomic Nursing"
The International Society for Nursing in Genetics (ISONG) Congress will be hosting Pre-Congress workshops to address critical education in genomics. The workshops will be held virtually the day prior to Congress on Thursday, November 4, 2021.
The planning committee aims to select a mixture of topics that will reflect research, education, and clinical practice. Individuals, teams, and panels that address a practical application of a topic with a Q&A session will be considered for acceptance. Members of the ISONG community have expressed interest in topics such as:
•
Foundational Genetics/Genomics for Nurses
•
Clinical Application of Genetics/Genomics (Disease-focused [e.g. oncology or cardiovascular disease] or broad)
•
Pharmacogenetics and Pharmacogenomics
•
Best Practices in Genetics/Genomics Education for Nurses
•
Genetics for Vulnerable Populations
