Create adorable critters in this wild and wooly needle felting workshop as we explore making 3D sculptures out of wool and a special felting needle . Class is great both for beginner needle felters and those wanting to expand their existing skills. This is a monthly stand alone Friday class so you can sign up for one class individually or the whole series . (Space is limited though so if you want to be assured of a spot , best to register for the whole series )
We will finish our projects in each session .
February is for the birds!
Projects will be your choice of needle felted birds, including penguins, owls, songbirds
Mammal March
Projects will be your choice of a seated mammal of your choice , puppy, kitten, fox, lion, etc.
May Showers bring the spring fairies!
Projects will be your choice of a human type sculpture, but can be a fairy, gnome, elf, etc.
You are also welcome to create anything else your imagination dreams up in this class but instruction will be focused around the topics above. Time permitting, I can help with other projects too.
Class is facilitated by local fiber artist and teacher Corbin Brashear of Wild and Wooly Feltworks. Corbin has led felting workshops for 20 years at museums , galleries and local schools. She loves sharing this creatively rewarding medium and helping people get in touch with their own creative nature . Her work can be viewed on her website
