Hi, I'm Caran, creator and facilitator of the workshop, Hearing God's Voice. Thanks for your interest in this workshop! I'm excited to share more details about the workshop with you, and I hope to meet you soon, whether virtually or in person. In the meantime, please answer the questions below.
In the meantime, here is an overview of the content: We will be learning to hear God speak (prophecy) through Scripture, journaling, listening prayer, vision and dreams; and equally importantly, how to test the words we receive. Time is given for studying scripture, for practicing hearing God speak, and for discussion, questions and sharing.
I'll also meet with each participant individually for a 15 minute call before the workshop begins to learn more about what each person hopes to gain, and another 15 minute call during the last week of the workshop to reflect on new learning and to talk about creating a spiritual rhythm of being with and listening to the Lord.
We believe, according to the prophecy in Joel 2 and the fulfillment of that prophecy found in Acts 2, that the Holy Spirit communicates the heart of God to us. While the Bible is God's final word, we believe that God still speaks to us because He is a good Father who gives good gifts to His children--and what is better than being seen and known by the living God?
He cares about the details of our lives and He wants to reveal His heart of love to us and to the world through us. People who hear His voice experience a stronger faith and deepening intimacy with the triune God. It is my heart's desire that you would experience this as well. Whether you are new to hearing God speak, or you've been listening to His voice for years, this workshop is for you!
