Parents of Student Athletes (POSA) Program. All parents/guardians of a student participating in a sport is a member of this organization and are expected to fulfill the responsibilities outlined below.
Attend the scheduled POSA Meetings:
Each August, there will be a kick-off welcome meeting. This year's kick-off welcome meeting will be held on Thursday, August 11th, at 6:00 pm following the 6th-12th Back-to-School Orientation.
Each January, there will be a mid-year meeting.
*Any parent/guardian who is interested in their students participating in a sport is welcome to attend to learn more about our athletic programs.
Complete a minimum of two volunteer sessions per season. This includes but is not limited to: ticket booth, concession stand, team luncheons, and team snacks/drinks. Volunteer opportunities will be available via SignUp Genius.
Assist their student-athlete in fundraising for the Gator Athletic fundraisers as set by the Athletic Director. Fundraising opportunities are outlined in the Athletic Handbook and will be further discussed at the POSA Meetings.
Assist in establishing relationships with local businesses to support the Gator Athletic department. Advertising opportunities are detailed below.
Donate to end-of-the-season coaches' gifts.
Parents of senior student-athletes will attend senior recognition night. See Senior Athletes in the Athletic Handbook.
