A) Forms are due by
March 31, 2023B) Students are permitted to take the First Examination when they have a minimum GPA of at least 3.0, have no more than two open grades (ABS, ABP, INC, INP, NGR) and amassed between 14-27 credits without penalty (i.e., a failure is not counted against their two opportunities to pass the examination). This early pass option can be applied either to the major or minor subfield, but to not both. The First Examinations must be taken after the completion of 27 credits and before the completion of 45 credits.
C) Every student is expected to take the First Examination on a computer.
D) Students may take one cross-field in either their major field or their minor field, but not both. Please keep this in mind when planning for your examinations. For students taking the International Relations Examination, Human Rights and Political Economy appear on the examination and need not be selected as cross-fields.
