. Here's what the different role categories mean for audition:
ENSEMBLE: Be prepared to sing, in a small group. Under a minute.
SPEAKING: In addition to your short song, be prepared to read a "side" (short scene) with at least one other student.
LEAD/FEATURED: Read at least one side, and prepare a section of a song (show tune, pop, country, etc.) that your character might sing. Can be a song from Frozen, but does not have to be.
ALL: You will learn a short dance combo with Ms. Marr in a small group. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes, and socks. You will need to remove your shoes.
Audition packets with sides, song cuts, student/parent contracts and other info will be available from Ms. Richardson, Mrs. Blaylock and Ms. Marr
Auditions are Wed. Nov 15 and Thurs. Nov 16, 3:30-5:30. Plan to stay for then entire session! Check in with the stage managers when you arrive through the hall by the chorus room. You will rotate through stations with your group.
When you are completing the conflicts section, it's helpful to know if there's a start/stop date, such as "Basketball will be over in mid-February".
