Description: Did you know starting back 30,0000 years ago masks have appeared all over the world and in nearly every culture? While exploring the tradition of mask-making, students will design and create clay masks using cultural, historical, and contemporary examples for inspiration. Students will be exposed to the use of a slump mold and develop an array of hand-building techniques. Clay and tool supply boxes will be available for pickup before the class start date. Pickup and drop off dates will be announced after registration.
