Landscape Fabric Art (grades 9-adult)

Register by July 8

No experience needed to attend this 3 evening mini camp for teens and adults!  You will use fabric, yarn, beads and more to create a one of a kind art piece.  If you can cut with scissors and have patience to try new things consider trying your hand at art quilting.  Skills of color, design and texture will be explored as well as options for minimal sewing on a machine and by hand.   Starting from a reference landscape photo (bring an original or borrow one online) we will cut, layer and fuse fabrics.  Next we will add in some basic straight stitches using a sewing machine or hand stitching.  Last, we will embellish and add texture using a variety of materials.  Students will be free to work at their own pace and much assistance will be available to those in the learning process.  (Example below)
