Alumnae Association Committee Member Application
Purpose: The Alumnae Association Committee Structure is a system of designated alumnae volunteers who will work to preserve the bond between Assumption High School and her graduates as well as strengthen the bonds among alumnae.
Committee Members are commissioned by the Alumnae Board of Directors to support the Board, Alumnae Association, and Advancement Office by engaging alumnae through social, cultural, professional development, and educational programs, as well as be a source of support for the school through fundraising and development.
Any member of the Alumnae Association can serve on a committee.
Committees are chaired by an appointed member of the Alumnae Board of Directors.
Committee Members are a ready pool of candidates for future Alumnae Board of Directors membership.
The Association shall have four standing committees which include the Executive Committee, Events & Activities Committee, Alumnae & Community Outreach Committee, and the Resource Committee.

Term:
Committee members will serve a two-year term on their assigned committee. Members cannot exceed three, two-year terms for a total of six years. Anyone having served for three consecutive terms must wait at least two years before being assigned to another committee.

Meetings:
Committee members must attend at least 75% of committee meetings thereof and notify the Committee Chairperson and Manager of Annual Giving & Alumnae Relations prior to any absence.
Committee meetings will be scheduled by the chairperson, as needed, and with at least two week notice to all committee members.

Committee Work:
Committee members will be well-informed on issues and agenda items in advance of meetings and will contribute their skills, knowledge, counsel, and experience when appropriate.
Committee members are expected to attend and promote the events, activities, or tasks their committee is responsible for.
