Welcome and thank you for applying to participate in our program. We want to explain what the program is and who it is for. The course is for individuals who are curious about robotics with little or no exposure to the field of robotics and engineering. There are two courses.
The first is an introduction to understanding how electricity works in our everyday devices and the components used to make things happen. This course has been, and continues to be, adapted for youth as young as 1st grade.
The second course involves learning the fundamentals of coding, how to assemble and test components, and how to use code to make physical objects follow directions. This course is for students 7th grade through college. Younger students who show aptitude and interest may also succeed.
Students are expected to work on the lessons on their own time as well as attending the sessions in order to be able to finish the course.
