Your talk should be 20-30mins including a brief QA at the end.
We must insist that the talk is not a sales/marketing presentation (product, service, recruitment etc). Of course, you are allowed to introduce yourself (& company) and include a simple message.
What we’re looking for:
1) A specific use case around AWS: tell us how you solved a particular issue using AWS technologies.
2) A neutral opinion about AWS: tell the audience what’s good and what’s bad, mention competitors when needed: this is not an AWS Summit and you can be critical about AWS.
3) A customer’s use case: attendees love concrete, real-life examples and use cases.
4) The talk should be for intermediate/advanced users or anyone interested in learning more about improving their use of AWS.
5) We are particularly interested to receive talk submissions from speakers that come from underrepresented groups in the tech industry. Please let us know if you require additional support or would like to discuss your requirements with us.
What we’re not looking for:
1) An AWS "how to" presentation.
2) A sales/marketing presentation: we won’t accept talks where you sell yourself/company/services/products etc.
3) A presentation of an AWS technology outside of any context (ie. AWS Lambda: Pros and Cons): people want to understand how a given technology is being used, and by who.
Please review our previous talks on meetup and videos on our YouTube channel to ensure that your talk is bringing something new/different.
