Applications for coaching will close 12pm Thursday 30th November however we reserve the right to close the application form early in the event of oversubscription.
Leadership coaching is available as a virtual 90-minute coaching session with an experienced executive coach.
The coaching will provide senior leaders with an opportunity to reflect and consider solutions to addressing a challenge they are facing professionally, for example exploring how to have greater influence and impact in their role, exploring and resolving issues they are facing with a strategic project, or how to further leverage their own or their team's strengths.
If after the coaching session, you would like to access additional coaching to further explore the issues raised, this will need to be agreed with your line manager and arrange funding from your own cost centre as part of your development plan.
The coaching session will be confidential. The only instances where a coach will breach this confidentiality is if they deem that a coachee is a danger to themselves, others, their organisation or taking part in illegal activities. The coach will provide Cappfinity with feedback on themes that arise through the coaching, and this will be presented to the NIHR at the end of the year, to further inform future leadership development activities.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for executive coaching, you will be a current leader for NIHR, have demonstrable leadership influence as part of NIHR or hold an NIHR Research Professorship/Senior Investigator award.
For example you might be a chair or Co-Chair of a governance board or leading an NIHR strategic work stream which involves different parts of NIHR / its partners.
IMPORTANT
This expression of interest is for coaching sessions across January - March 2024. Please note there are a limited number of spaces available and we cannot guarantee that everyone who expresses interest will be offered a slot. Those who are successful will be notified in early December and will be able to book a slot on a first come first served basis.
