The Texas Tenants' Union is gathering information on tenants' experiences in rental housing since the start of the pandemic.

The CDC declaration started on September 4, 2020 and ended on August 26, 2021. My eviction was before or after those dates.

I did not know anything about eviction protections from the CDC declaration.

9. Did any of the protections below help you?

City of Dallas' COVID-19 eviction ordinance requiring a notice of possible eviction and 60 day grace period for those who respond with how they were financially impacted by COVID.

CARES Act eviction moratorium through July 24, 2020 for properties with federal loans or assistance.

CARES Act prohibition on late fees through July 24, 2020 for properties with federal loans or assistance.

CARES Act 30-day notice to vacate for properties with federal loans or assistance.

None of these protections helped me.
